Hi! I’m Emma (she/they), I'm 25 years old, and I am the sole creator and owner of Higher Ground Wire! I started wire wrapping due to my passion for crystals that I've had since a young age (the rocks and minerals event on my middle school Science Olympiad team). I wanted to be able to give crystals to people I met on my travels in a way that added my own unique touch! Wire wrapping then bloomed into my business when I started Higher Ground Wire in March of 2020, and launched this website in November 2020. I specialize in one-of-a-kind pendants, rings, earrings, garden décor, and other accessories. To date, wire wrapping remains to be a way that I connect myself with the present moment and take intentional time to slow down.
In January 2021, I began expanding my craft to lapidary, the art of carving stones. In January of 2022 I started my journey as a metalsmith. I have my Applied Jewelry Professional License from the Gemological Institute of America. I have taught my wire wrapping craft at a local art center and absolutely love to share what i do. I work primarily online and i also do local LGBTQ+ events each year. Based in Ferndale, MI!
Outside of wire wrapping, my passions include circus arts and fire performing, reading, spending time in nature, and video games.
